Went for a wander down Foxholes way over Easington. Forgive the crap photo's but my camera decided to die when I switched it on so I had to use my phone:

And a bit closer after heading down the steps onto the beach (what is this one called? Looks like it could be canny if a bit of a trek)?





Winds are forecast to drop overnight but reckon it will still be pretty big tomorrow. Might head over the Tyne and try Lynemouth on the ebb, hoefully it will be fishable by then...

Far to big to fish lynemouth, have a look at the pics i,ve put on for cambois ! lynemouths worse mate, it will be a while before you will be able to hold btm along there !

Think you're at Easington flight mate. It may be fishable over low water tonight.

I had a walk round the Headland today around high tide and the swell was huge, crashing 30-40 foot over the heugh, five people fishing on the south side of the heugh (paddling pool) had'nt had anything when i left.
I've got some fresh bait to use and was going to head up to have a go at the walkway but have been told it'll be unfishable with the strength of the tide...thoughts ?
Might just stay local and try the ring of stones

straight down from the steps at Easington is called the "twelve foots", very heavy ground to the left as you look straight off the steps and slightly less heavy towards the right (the point before you hit the fox holes).

The flight area to the north before you hit the cinderella is a band of rock close in then a sand bar.

0.9 to 5.1m is too big for the walkway mate, especially if there's a swell comin down the river. You'd never hold bottom.
