    looking for a second reel to use with 35lb line .whats best between the above two reels,also anyone know any good deals

    a would go for a slosh and there is one second hand in lewis for 50 pound

        Defo the slosh30.had mine for about a year now and cannot fault it on the rough ground
        The only fish i want this year is a double figured cod!!!

            no level wind on slosh ,had 7000s most of my life there legend brick ****houses with levelwind if you want.

                  Got to be the slosh mate, strong and robust and they chuck well

                    Go for the slosh, it will hold more line. good tip, take the handle off and put it back onto the other oblong hole, much improved cranking power. I do this with all my sloshes, other wise they feel over geared.

                      went for the slosh 30,35lb f1 line straight through,ill put 20 or 25lb f1 on the 525 and a shocker.

                        good choice pete but depends where you fish i would consider still use a rubbing leader if its very heavy ground

                          7000 everytime far far better reel for casting and gut hauling than a slosh simple as that.

                            That's what i would have said 15years ago when I bought my slosh's and they're still grafting. Although I regard the 7000's still a good reel I lost a bit of faith after losing good fish when the reels started locking up under load.
