(Bought them from asda 4.95 for a large bag)

I always take the usuall baits rag, lug, squid, macky and was also taking about 10 frozen king prawns to, when the usuall bait wernt catching the prawns were.

2 of us fished hendon prom and there was a club comp on think there was about 30 fishn, the guy next to us was partenering jim dobie they had blacks some whites and crab and no one had caught owt much apart from me n me mate we had 6 codling all about 3lb ish all caught on prawn.

As we were packing up i gave him the last few prawns and within 10 mins he'd landed a nice codling and as we were leavn he was bringing his second in, he was straight on the phone to jim dobie laughing sayn you'll neva guess what am catchn the codling on.

had cod on prawn a few times in the past. had a session in norway one night and it was the top bait cocktailed with mussel.

some sessions locally i have found that the cod will take one bait only at a certain time.

one time down the low drum, the cod would only take squid. one time on steetly the cod would only take cock clam. many times blacks and many times crab at different venues

for prawns, once in norway and had good success up craster when they stayed away from lug.

when gutting cod I find crabs more than anything, followed by small white prawns (or something very similar to them)
now thats gotta mean summit my friend
            .

Had a few flattys on them, i started looking at fishing with prawns like this.. It is cheaper to blank with prawn than crab.
