  • Razor Clam

Was thinking of getting some Razor clam from the chinese supermarket. Being reading past posts about Razor Clam and someone mentioned that the ones from supermarket are freshwater. Is this true? Has anyone had good/bad results with these?

freshwater clams and mussels i've heard of, but never freshwater razor clams? Esturine possibly, which would be brackish at the least.

when you go into wing hong, freezers down the centre - they're on the right hand side, first freezer i think, in a clear bag... squid is usually in there aswell... place is worth a good wander around, some good bargains in there.

Naji's, the Indian supermarket on the west road just before westgate road, is excellent for kitchen supplies, big bags of herbs and spices, jars of stuff etc, we normally pop in once every couple of months and re-stock the cupboards. Ohh and his fresh samosa's (on the counter) are delicious! My kids love freshly made popcorn - get a monster back of the kernels for a couple of quid that lasts most of a year!
