  • plaice at last

got up yesterday, and thought a was not gonna get out as it was raining fairly heavy . but as the rain eased I decided to take a chance and got the gear ready, well hey presto the rain sopped and the bloody wind got up and by time a got to pier wind was pretty strong, and got there same time as mr stobbs who went to left of brass ball and I went to other side of grant and sean. first cast Geordie brought in a 2.5lber cod, after that not much else , exept for sean who hauled in 3 consecutive maki on bait .

as the wind got stronger and tide started to flood sean and grant left I went to 44 area nd managed a plaice of 33 centimetres, just as a was about to cast out again pier bloke came along and said he,s shutting gate so went up to hole in wall for a few hours there but not a lot to show except for a few small dabs and flounders and a gull which pinched 2 of my crab and a nice juicy rag worm off my bait bucket whilst reeling in and also it had a go at pinching my scissors

Nice one Bob. Bit of a struggle walking back down the pier in that wind, I'd had enough lol.

was on bike and wind made me crash into pier wall, luckily only got 2 speeds on bike slow and really slow so no damage done to wall lol
