  • Tyne flounders ?

    Just a quick question. Has there been much flounder activity in the river lately ? I'm going to head down with the kids for a few hours.

    Been a few at copthorne but not many like all fish mate, shocking start of the season

      I've not had any at Hebburn lately which is very strange for the time of year

        If you can put up with jet ski's the wooden jetty in blaydon, derwentaugh there will be a few there as well as the odd eel 👍

          I fished the basin yesterday for 5 hours - flounder first cast and that was it

              wonder if its got anything to do with all these catch @return matches.do the flounders actually survive,in the long run ? i would say possibly a good % do survive,but well never know.judgeing by reports maybe alot of fish dont survive the ordeal.

                  Buisness park has fished well for flounder the last couple of times out.
