  • SSP in the morning

Was planning on hitting SSP early doors tomorrow to see if I could catch a few mackerel - not sure if there is much point even trying in this wind!

I've caught maccy in rain and wind of biblical proportions mate. The only issue with the wind when maccy bashing is the amount of slack you will have in your line. The fish can still be caught. The plus side of poor weather is that the knackers don't bother fishing. Shouldn't be too crowded

There is that I suppose Was hoping at 6am that it wouldn't be too busy anyway.

Just wondering what impact this wind will have on the waves coming over the sides of the pier

Thats what I was thinking - dont fancy heading off at 5:30 to find out the conditions are rough. Thinking about leaving it and seeing what sunday morning is like.

Sunday is forecast for the better day weather wise so could be worth waiting if you are wanting better conditions.
