  • Horden 1st September

Fished Horden tonight 6 till 10, rag, mackerel and mussel as bait.

Got a flattie at about 8ish on mussel, approx 28cm.

Crabs were a nightmare, hooks coming in bare every cast.

Just after dark I had a really good bite and as luck would have it whilst I was waiting another good bite on my second rod, it felt a decent size but lost it half way in, this was on rag.

Anyway had an enjoyable few hours, there were a couple of lights on the beach when I left, wonder if they had any more luck

Well done on the flattie, at least it saved the blank.

I had the same problem with the crabs last night, ended up reeling in and rebaiting every 15 minutes and even then it was down to scraps. Doesn't leave much time to have a sit down and relax when you are fishing two rods though.
