    I have just taken up fishing again after 30 years raising kids,can anyone clarify the law regarding digging bait on hartlepool beaches,i have been told that i will be breaking the law.

    Loads of people dig bait there mate, I've never heard of anyone being told they cant? Maybe the people in the yacht club complain of all the holes in the basin when launching their boats, but no one's ever said owt to me?

      As far as I know the only place you cant dig is in northumberland, budle bay.

          either a Spit or a boarder fork, they both work well for down here.
          I prefer a Spit when digging the Ferry, Fish and Block sands. Lots use the wind Tinged forks, I only use mine over at Seaton.
