  • Alnmouth ?

Hi, I want to take my granddaughter (9 yrs old) fishing before she goes back to school. Thinking of taking her to Alnmouth one afternoon next week. Would appreciate any info on where to fish, best time of tide, car parking etc. Not after anything spectacular (small flatties would be fine to keep her interested)

Thanks very much for any help forthcomming.

PS - If not Alnmouth, anywhere (SAFE) where we might be in with a good chance of fish.

alreet mate good shot the all

There is a place there called marden rocks the left hand side off the public car park right on the beach,, if you no this shot you will no this no good for your 9 year old, but the right hand side off the rocks is a good razor fise hole, witch is pretty wide, 90 yard lob will do you,i have and heard off good fish in the summer in daylight and on night there its a gud shot,,,anywere go throug almouth turn left past the toilets dont take the road that goes to the left and you will end up at the car park ,, and its safe to leave your there mate, i have left mine there loads, walk straight on to the beach a little to ya left and thats ya spot,, or and you have the mouth off almouth to the right hand side off you aswell ,, well let me now how you get on ,,,, happy bashing..:d:d:d:d

Fish the river mate, it's almost certain to produce a few fish, and it's a nice comfortable venue. Park down the bank at the end of the road through the village, opposite the big hill on the south side. Best fished 2 hours either side of high water, but timings not vital.
Mackerel and rag will get the fish.

Thanks for all the info, was going to take her tomorrow, but the weather forecast isn't good, so it'll be later in the week.

            Once again many thanks.
