Neoprene waders help lots, but can make you sweaty if a long walk to marks is involved. A waterproof smock is ideal for the top half. I use high neck jumpers and lots of thin layers underneath to keep out the cold. Lastly a warm comfy hat.
To get away from dragons and catch monsters.

with regards to the scarf...a fleece snood is perfect I have found

Like Sean says plenty layers underneath and no need to go overboard on branded ones - got my thermals from Tesco for £16 (long sleeved top and bottoms)

Still struggling to find the answer to my cold feet though...
      Ooh a new vid!

Thermal Hiking socks from Catterick market £3 a pair and a pair of fleece lined Derry boots £15. Never had cold feet since.

Kind of scarf does not matter but make sure it matches the rest of your ensemble if you don't want to be an outcast.
Then you would feel really silly

For a Scarf, you cannot go past a Buffy....wear it around your neck as a scarf, can be used as a snood or as a variety of hats. Think they are around £15.

Good pair of thermal socks, for the top half, lots of light layers, upto a waterproof smock....Hands are always gonna get cold at some point, and gloves can work, but you need to keep em dry, and the other thing to remember is that you need to warm your hands back up after they have been exposed to the cold, before you put your fingers back in or you do not get the benefit....Me personally, I keep me hands warm on me plums.....I always carry two in me tackle box for just such occasions lol.

Try a motorbike shop (honest) get your head and neck fully covered without paying silly amounts - stuff designed for the winter to go on before you put a helmet on.
