  • Mull of Galloway - East tarbet

    Hello all

There was a post on here some time ago with a link to the world sea fishing forums regarding access to the beach at east tarbet for camping was closed due to some d**kheads leaving the place in a mess on a number of occassions.

Does anyone know if this is still the case? Has anybody been recently?

I was there a few weeks back. Camping is still allowed at east Tarbet but West Tarbet was still locked.

I was up there at the weekend tope fishing and there was quite a few people camping and i'm afraid to say the place was a mess, bits of broken tents and rubbish left all over the place and empty lager cans even floating in the surf

I didn't get any tope but my mate got his first one of 34lb.
It's a thin line that seperates an Angler from a madman standing on the beach in january at midnight in -5 degrees with a northerly wind blowing in your face

Was there this morning and tents still there and no sign of rubbish. Would any "would be campers" please take bin bags and clear ALL rubbish when they leave please.

Camping also available at Clashwhannon caravan park -google it,advance bookings only. Also Sands of Luce have a big campsite.

          Hope this helps
