    Can anyone tell me if tipping rag baits with mussle is a decent bait for fishing the tyne and wear.

          Cheers for replys chaps, fishing the wear sunday and wasnt sure what tipping bait to take,(cant afford peeler) so thought mussle would be the next best thing.

            Try just mussels on a 2/0 hook plenty on the hook and wrap some bait elastic round them to hold them on properly, you don't need to cast miles out either, at high tide on the tyne 30 yds gentle chuck is more than enough.

              cracking winter bait 2 bulk up and cocktail your baits ! well worth a try anytime though 1 day mite get nowt next day mite out fish all other baits never no with FISHING example : av never been fan of sandeel yet fished warkworth other week me m8 bought sandeel with him and it out fished the lug rag crab macky and whites
              Loads of effort for little reward
              But still love it
