    A lad I know was done for digging at budle bay. charged with melestering worms and in court it was heard that he was taking the food from the baby chicks mouths of the wildfowl that live there.

      As far as Iam aware (and I am sure someone may verify this) you can dig bait anywhere around the island apart from Budle Bay as long as you are not within 100 feet of the causeway.

      Probably not a good idea to dig on the left hand side of the causeway (as you look at the island) as the area was used as a range during the war for pilots dropping all sorts of ordanance and live explosives regularly turn up.
