Heading there on Friday for a weekends fishing and drinking (staying at one of the parks) are there any decent bait shops in the town itself?

You should be able to dig some bait over that way mate, should be plenty of crab too.

used to be able to dig lug on the beach but don't no what its like now not been over for a few years but saying that we never caught owt on worm baits but put some peeler on an it was a fish a chuck

You can dig plenty lug at mawbray just down the road mate and its what the locals use for bass fishing over there
