because the people, sorry i mean th dirty ,filthy ignorant selfish b*****ds are too lazy, and know that others will do it for them and have not got brains they were born with to realise that one day the powers to be will say enoughs enough and will put a stop to fishing in public places eg piers proms jetties, etc and then they will not have comfort of these places, and probably the first to complain will be the scum who leave our fishing marks a a tip
[ know of three places on tyne where they have put fences up to stop anglers from fishing . bergen quay. a part of the ice house and think the third place i know is called davey bank, three popular marks.

and the worrying thing is there does not seem a way to solve this problem as the scum that causing it think that ther doing nowt wrong

This problem is happening all over and the end of the day people like myself who fish 12 months a year will be the ones who will lose out when the council start closing fishing spots.

all this summer i have started to fish the beaches north of the tyne and i can say that these marks are very clean so come the winter this is where i will be going as i think other marks may be closed.

alot of members have had ideas on how we can stop this happening but the end of the day we are no further forward now than we were 12 months ago.

when i have confronted these people i have had a load of abuse and nobody comes to help you so now i do not say anything.

I always take my rubbish home with me but this is it,i have in the past picked other peoples rubbish up but i do not do this anymore.

the only idea i have is for the council to put signs on the piers saying no rubbish and anyone found leaving rubbish will be prosecuted, but put a phone number on this sign for people to ring up and grass on those who will spoil it for others.

Summer tinsel tossers really boil my p**s as well, they turn up with a chorus of snapped casts like a 21 gun salute and start chucking feathers left right and centre, swearing, leaving rubbish and being generally anti social.

But... come the back end of august when the mackerel move off they disappear too, leaving the crap and sh*te they brought with them all over piers and promenades up and down the north east coastline, and like you say we'll be the ones to suffer when they clsoe the piers to all anglers.

Me and my mate fished Seaton sluice rocks intil 9.30 tonight and didn't see another anglers, we both fished light gear with bubble floats and caught a couple of small pollack each - the sum of the evening = Great fun, clean mark, no crap floating around and best of all no tinsel tossers in sight at all.
            Here fishy, fishy!

yes its the same on most piers in the summer i was down south shields pier the over day doin some bait fishing the guy came up to shut the gates so the macky bashers started choping the heads off all there makrel and just left them on the end of the pier. they could atleast throw them in the water theyv even put about 4 bins on the round end, im always goin along picking up all the old line to throw in the bin aswell.

cant wait for the winter :P be nice and peaceful with hopefully lots of cod

                    Here we go again

you cant just blame the mess left on the summer season mackrel bashers only, fair enough they might be to blame for the vast majority but i've seen anglers who fish through out the year throw their litter down are even better into the sea thinking once its sunk problem solved. wrong.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught

i fish the gare all year round and i can blame the summer tossers because ive seen it winter there not 1 bit of rubbish while in summer when the tinsel tossers come down its a dump !

yeah i blame the mackrel bashers aswell lol most of the rubbish on shields pier during summer is makrel guts and heads. there is lots of saw dust around off the rag worms floating around also but not much rubbish left lyin. alot of mackrel fishers pick up there rubbish but the young ones dont they leave cans of fosters lyin about and makrel guts and anything they get there hands on even tho there bins right infront them.

even worse is when they keep casting over your line from every direction then the snap casts im always hiding from them in the summer lol

i always fish at first light during the summer months [knowing the morons will be laid dead to the world snoring and farting in their beds] at about 10 when the early rising chavs start coming on, I'm off.
