i clean my bearings in light fluid what you put in zippo lighters, just take out the bearings and let them soak in the lighter fluid for half an hour then let them dry out for an hour or 2. then i put a few drops of oil around until i see it come thru the bottom of the bearing on to a piece of tissue.
dont know how to clean the other parts inside the reel but i guess i would try puttin them in lighter fluid and wipe all the grease off then re-grease them again

Cleaning/Servicing Reels
I Leave It To The Profesionals. Every Time I've Attempted To Clean & Service A Reel There's Always A Spring,Clip Are Something That Flies Off.So I'm Happy To Pay Good Money For Someone Else To Do A Good Job.Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught

cleaning
I use lighter fluid myself for cleaning bearings, and like many others good old 3 in 1 for lubricating them.As for reel inards,i wipe them down and use light machine grease sparingly. just be methodical lay components out carefully and you wont go wrong.
