the wife and myself fished cambois ramp today, this is the first time i have fished it and it was a bit slow at first but at high water we started to get bites and this is the results

first fish was a double shot of flounders

the wife then got a double sided flounder, i have heard of these before but never caught one

my first ever turbot, this is what i wanted, heard loads for reports on nesa so i decided to try to catch one,it is not very big but it still is a turbot

this is the same double sided flounder as above.

while we were fishing a number of the locals came down to talk to us and gave me some great advice on different marks and where to fish in the winter.

For a number of years i have only fished south of the tyne but this year i am trying north of the tyne, have fished a few different marks and spoke to loads of locals on different marks and had some great advice on where to fish.

north of the tyne is a lot better then south of the tyne, so role on the winter

I have also had some great advice off nesa members,

    thanks

Was going to fish the ramp myself today at high water but things came up ( as they do!) was a good sea on today and had a feeling someone would be there, wonder if that turbot was the same one I caught the other day
well done though , was the sea still choppy at high tide?

Hi just follow the road as though you were going to cambois pier just before you come to alcan silos you turn left through the gates over the train tracks then left again go about twenty yards you'll see some concrete blocks which are at the top of the ramp.hope this helps I'm not the best at giving directions.if your still unsure p'm me I'll give you my number and try and explain better

I got a double sided flounder from that very spot around one and a half years ago, who knows might be the same one.
