  • Eyemouth again tomorrow

Heading up to the mother in laws for the weekend, determined to get out this time - every time I take my gear up the weather turns but tomorrow looks good. So plan on getting a couple of hours fishing done while up there. just taking a selection of lures and my 30g to 80g rod. 20lb braid straight through.

Just wondering though, tempted to try the rocks by the golf course - how bad are these? my 8yo son is coming with me - it looked safe enough down there as I wandered around up top. is there much scrambling down there or is it ok for a kid to get around?

if its wet don't take him, black jaggered rocks a nightmare in the rain, the red rocks left of the caravan site a better option plenty of room to do all fishing, spinning, float, and bottom fishing and much safer for the young un. davy.

Ended up just heading out on my own for a hour or so - cracking session, landed my first Eyemouth pollack - gutted it there and then and weighed it after I got home, just a smidge under 2kg, so I guess that's around the 4lb mark. Caught it on a jelly sand eel lure.

Yup, more or less - headed to the top of the path from the harbour to where the road stops and the dirt track starts - then headed over the rocks to the sea. Back again in a few weeks as the wife has more decorating to do for the MIL - can't wait!

It was Saturday I was out fella and there wasn't a person in sight while I was out - but I did notice a few out yesterday as you can see the rocks from the mother in laws window. I have to say I was tempted to dive out again for a few hours yesterday morning, but never got a chance!
