Akios Tourno 666 mm3 - handles

After playing with them in various shops for a while I finally bought a couple of Akios Tourno 666 mm3 reels and promptly spooled them and took them out for a spin.

Had an assortment of fish on them the biggest up to about 13lb and all in all they performed well.. they cast like a dream but the handles are garbage!!

I appreciate these are not made for hauling big fish in but it felt like a struggle winding in even a 5oz lead at times, the paddle style finger grips are just not for me.

Has anyone changed the handles for power handles more like the abu6500/shuttle style?

If so have they been ok with the extra strain you can inflict on the gears etc ?

I would assume they are fine with it but wondered if anyone has bothred!

Swap the handles for tronixpro power handles mate only £6 each from glasgow angling you'll not be disappointed.
