Just acquired a brand new penn affinity 8000 it has 50lb braid with 100lb braid leader plus I've filled the other spool with 15lb mono and 60lb leader. Going to pair it up with a 15ft AFAW rod
Can't wait to try it and drag some more sharks out

I use a very similar set up, identical line loads to yours too on both spools although I have started to favour just going 66lb straight through on the braid as it means I can use a stronger RB with more confidence if fishing mixed ground.
Nice and easy to use, simple OTG cast with little effort gets you 100 yards every time.

Hi yah bud,dwn here on the holderness we favour 20lb/30lb braid with 80lb/100lb leader,it's mainly clean sand/just the odd bit of mxd ground, that set up with a 15ft rod will fly, even with an over head chuck it'll go a long long way
I use thin diam 30lb n an 80lb braided leader on my conti rod,I also have a spool with 50lb braid(.36mm)straight thru, which I use if i'am not power casting,or for close to med range fishing....Just my two penneth lol..

Ooh i forgot lol, nice reel m8,I use the 7000 black version, great fishing/casting reel, may be not as sturdy as some of the shimano's or spinfisher's but great all rounder for me,great over clean sand, sends a baited rig a good way anyways...
