Had a trip up to st abbs today with a friend. 7am pick up and a nice steady drive up north. Arrived to the lighthouse at about 8.30 overlooking the nice flat sea with the sun blazing. About a 20 mins walk to a mark just round the lighthouse. Was a slow start with not a fish for first hour or so then it was like a switch. First mackerel (very good size app 2lb mostly) on every cast with the trusty 28g zeniths. Then coalies and a few odd pollock. Biggest being around 2.5lbish maybe 3. All in all a good day and now paying for it with sunburn! Nice start to the summer fishing. Chris
