Artificial bait

Has anyone had any success from either boat, beach or pier using artificial bait such as "Gulp" etc.

I don't mean lures, plugs, shads etc.

I fell for the advertising hype and tried it myself, both on it's own and on 2 hook tackle with natural bait on the other hook - never ever had a bite...

Anyone found a different result???

never tried gulp but have heard its okay maybe its time i tried it
