rod and reel
can any1 recommend a rod and reel combo that would be the best for fishing at south shields pier and whitley bay

Whats your price range and do you use FS or multi's?Species: Cod, Bass, Coalie, Flounder, Dab, Rockling, Mackerel, Plaice, Pollock, Ballen Wrasse, L/S Scorpion, Common Blenny, Weaver (unfortunately), Whiting, Common Eel, Trout, Pike... think that's it -

If your loooking for an all round rod for these two locations, make sure its well built and has some grunt as these to venues (mainly some parts of shields pier) can be snaggy.
The best all rounder i can think of would be the Anyfish Anywhere 14ft six 'n' bait rod. As it says, cast a sox oz lead and bait, and there well built rods. Terry Wood of Reelsport stocks them but u may have to check prices. i think there around £150 - £175.

going to buy a brand new f/s reel from tackel shop im thinking of buying and okuma impact or razor f/s reel not too deya just been paid aswell flotation suit out of the sea angler magazine so im chuffedThanks
