Most of the news, reports, sales etc now come on to NESA after the Facebook groups if at all. I have talked to a few people lately and they don't bother posting reports here because hardly anyone replies except a few mates who already know. The popular local Facebook groups can get a bit heated and silly at times but there are plenty good groups that are quiet and informative on there as well, as in most things in life you get out what you put in. Seems that with the amount of views on threads and the lack of posts on NESA that most are lurkers wanting info on fishing locations, tackle etc without adding themselves, does tend to put people off posting I reckon.

I've seen a difference in the 18 months I've been a member and reckon a canny few have gone to the Locker. I go on there as well but find it full of in-fighting, bitching and generally a complete lack of help.

Dont know whether that because the kids tend to use the Locker and the older ones with a bit more about them are on here but its on here you get people giving advice, tips, being helpful etc.. None of that on FB.

Long live NESA - it will pick up when the fish turn up again

In the three years I've been using this forum the number of posts and replies has dropped a lot, and the Facebook groups have grown a lot.

I still use both and I still post reports regularly on here (for what it's worth - my last catch report got 2 replies! from two people who already knew about my session). I still post them though, more for myself now really as a record.

tend to get good reports from the boat lads during the summer months

NESA seems to be a lot slower and as Fishingmark said sometimes when you put a report up you get maybe 6 replies and you think what's the point I'm on a few of the fb pages ....locker ....lunatics......mini rock fishing which all have good and bad points as does NESA
Would like to know off admin why can't you buy and sell bait on here just wondering cheers

I don't bother on Facebook either. Full of Bellends what I've seen.

Mick we mustn't be allowed to sell nowt that's alive cos I tried to get shot of a couple of canaries the other week and it got deleted. I don't get why I can't sell them but some can buy all the cheap gear to sell on again instead of letting somebody enjoy a bargain.
                            All the gear, no idea.
