        Why not try the first gate at shields pier? it generally good ground with the odd snag about, and recently a friend of mine (waco) has been doing well from that area with some good size plaice being cort

            Ragworm fishes best, especially if tipped off with a bit squid strip or crab. i usually use a clipped down pully wishbone rig, acompanied with size 1 or 1/0 aberdeens and lots of coloured beads, which are good attractors for plaice.

            Other possible species are codling, whiting, flounder, dabs, coalie and mackerel as the summer kicks into gear.

                Wont be for a while, probably go the the week my birthday is, which is in two weeks time, probably fish saturday 12th june, on the end of shields pier between 3pm and 9pm. see wat happens...
