Kieth and I decided to try the mark which has produced for us dusk until dawn, during the day light hours.
On arrival I had a bit of a gut feeling that it would not be as productive due to a number of factors as the previous sessions but cracked on as we are trying to log as much information about this location as possible.
Low water was approximately 0.8m and high at about 4.9m. The wind was a good SE and the sea state was clear but flat with only a little movement.
The latter mean't we did not expect a showing from the bass and so we aimed for at least a decent flounder.
We fished from the beach for two hours down to low water and then moved on to a skeer next to the beach mark and fished on the end for about an hour until the water pushed us off!
We fished the beach until high water at approximately 1530hrs and then with more knowledge for the log decided to call it a day!
From the skeer Kieth caught a Scorpion Fish and during the flood I caught a small flattie, so at least we didn't blank! The flattie was a lot smaller than the flounder we have caught from that mark recently.
We will attempt this again, but will do so when there is at least some movement in the surf.
The peeler are showing and we are hopeful of a decent bass in the right conditions.
I believe that the fish would have made a showing from dusk and onwards using the dark to come close in.
