does any 1 no any tackle shops in sunderland,newcastle,south shields that sell crab? ive tried every where and can never get any.

You will find the tackle shops tend to keep the best bait to one side for their regular lads that are in every week etc, it is one thing turning up for bait once in a blue moon and another turning up on a regular basis buying bits n bobs and basically keeping the tackle shop owner in business, these lads get first shout at the good stuff. It is also wise to try and pre order some crab etc (while you are in buying some swivels and what have you) this will get you on the radar. Fishermans locker in southwick has had crab in lately and at a great price

most of the crab available is the river stuff if you get the crab from the likes of whitburn were the weed tangles are they are a much better crab in my opion.
crack a river crab open its dull yellow.
crab from holly island etc a bright orange.did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?
