    large pod of dolphins this morning off south shields pier
    looked like they were chasing mackerel shoal birds going wild
    glad somethings catching fish

    There were pilot whale's there two weeks ago, great to watch.

      7 or 8 came into Tynemouth pier about 11.0 for about half an hour today. davy.

          They were down just off Souter Point around 8.30am. Must have been at least a dozen of them. Great to see.
          A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.

            There was a small pod between the piers last monday and a couple of weeks ago off Blyth I managed to snap these of a pod of bottlenose dolphins. Was hard to know where to point the camera as they were spread out over a large area.

              Saw a pod of about 6 last week up on Loch Linnhe, they were so close inshore we could hear them blowing!
              Brilliant to see.
