    am heading up to craster next week is it 2 early 2 take the spining gear to target the pollack or am i better just taking bait to have a go cant carry much gear as on bike so trying to travel light

    Maybe alittle early, but if the seas right could be a good day out like. If theres still alot of colour in the water just float off the end (thats if the sea isn't up mind!)

    As for traveling light. have a scout round for some frozen sandeel, compact and light (and you can always use a ledger or jighead and spin the little buggers)

      If there is any sea running at all at Craster I would leave the spinning gear at home, could be worth a go if it's clear and calm though.
