I thought i might add the main people who police the rivers are defra.

dead good this internet thing, try migatory fish, that include, albacore,big eyed tuna ,yellow fin, black fin, little fin, ect,marlin,sail fish,sword fish.. Eels,now I know we wont catch most of these fish off Whitley Bay,appart from Eels, not to sure why a rod caught salmon and or sea trout , off the coast... not river, can,not be kept, or is it just the rules,??

In January a new law was passed on the taking of eels also.
They are banned anywhere in England and Wales and 6 nautical miles out from the coast.
