we weren\'t so lucky the other day on the pier up here, a creel boat came straight for us. Karina managed to get her line out of the way just, but stuart and i lost quite a lot of line and all the bits at the end of it.
I wouldn\'t mind if it had been an accident but it was downright deliberate.

im sure i read it somewhere that the boats/ships do have the right of way but im sure some of them do it just to be ****s ,one thing i can say about the tyne and the blyth never had any problems, most times give em a wave as there passing ,mind saying that it might pay to start waving a big stick
          cheers Bri

If you\'v plenty of line on your reel let the spool run free. It doesn\'t take masses of mono to jam a prop solid! (been there done that on me own boat)

I think i will give him more than a 6oz lead the next time he does it.
Have found out his car reg no. too
next time he will be greeted by me at the top of the ladder as he comes off his boat with my boots on his fingers and politely told not to do it again

borrow some deep sea diving boots before you stand on his fingers.
