good point also the bite detection is second to none i have been down brid today fishing the anyfish comp and it got me thinking that it would have been a better practice what with the tide and none existing bites no rocks and it makes a nice change in the summer monthsYou should have been here yesterday.

With the Triplex longer drop and slow down the cast. Learned to my cost in Ireland last year when I used one with a 525 mag. Blew it up big style so line had to be cut off. Took my time later and it was quite nice to use.
Got a 15ft Daiwa Emcast and fixed spool loaded with braid but only used it once in awful conditions so can't really comment. Will be trying it through the summer.

Used braid for flatties close in last year and great for showing up the bites.

I feel like a right tit. Bought a £275 Century Tip Tornado for my mag and its a canny caster. But i now fancy a sixteen footer with fixed spool with braid.
I have my old Abu Suveron and with the butt extension this goes up to 15 foot so might try this rod seeing as thought its in the shed doing nowt.
