    theres a thread about a fish that looks just like that. think its a sand smelt.

      Yer defo same as the other threads fish..strange we never seen them before and now we had 2 in a month or so.

      Good size one as well by the looks of it.

          common or European smelt, thats about the fourth landed in the last month or so

            It's not mine, Steve Harper caught it in the tyne near Wallsend, 12". No one had a clue what it was. Never heard of a smelt before. Thanks for ID'ing it.
