never a stupid question mate if you dont know the answer. at half moon rounabout comming from guide post turn right, on the corner of barrington pub turn left follow the road for cambois turning left at the old school then down to the sea. on sharp right bend turn left, park in car park and walk north, that is where you will find where the wansbeck meets the sea. if you came out of carpark and took a left you could drive down to the river blyth comming out into the sea.

Yep, Wansbeck. I normally fish the south side where the boat sheds are, get about 1.5-2hrs each side of the tide. Find an early morning or dusk high tide usually best, lots of flatties with the odd coalies and eels now and then. Can be a bit weedy at times and don't bother if there's a lot of freshwater coming down the river after a lot of rain. Normally use light rods (spinning rods normally with a 2oz sinker), rag and mackeral/herring.

If you move further along the beach to the mouth there's a chance of the odd bass.

The narrow channel from the mouth into the estuary has a VERY strong current and drops of quite suddenly so be careful there.

Edit - also got Seaton Sluice, fish off the Rocky Island breakwater, cast straight out off the end or to about 2 o'clock - check it at low tide though as there's a few rocks around the edge of the breakwater that you can get hung up on.

Mixed bag from S/Sluice breakwater most times, just avoid it when there's a lot of freshwater coming down the dene after a spell of rain.

In life I try to be as understanding as I can and never rush to judgment, I always have time for my fellow man because you never know what highways they have travelled. However, when a guy declares he lives in Guidepost and then asks where he can find an estuary, it just makes me wonder if he's taking the mick. When I look at his previous postings I find that he has even posted about fishing at Sandy Bay!!!.
Please forgive me if anyone knows the lad or if there's a valid reason for his apparent confusion but we've recently had a posting which infers that 50% of the stuff on NESA is crap, I just dont want to give them any more ammunition.
