Yesterdays MCZ Netgain meeting

Thanks to all involved in keeping us all updated and trying to keep things as simple as you can

The Government announced yesterday(12.12.12) the MCZ to be designated in 2013.
127 had originally been designated and we are now down to 31. The big MCZ that may have affected us, St Marys to Coquet is not included in this list and may happen in some years to come, however the River Aln is and two others out past the 6 mile limit in the North North Sea. It would appear that the reference area (no fishing allowed) at Marshall's meadows is also not included. Here is the link go to page twelve for the map. I will be responding to the consultation if required once I have read the detail on the River Aln regarding bait collection and fishing. It was agreed at the time that these activities would be allowed, so I need to read the detail.

Read your thread at school and thought perhaps I was resticted as to access, schools being schools, but I cannot find how to access the appendicies (and therefore the nitty gritty you talk about) - is it me being daft or is it somewhere else?

Be interested to know the timetable for the next (if there is one) bout of intervention.
