    what do they use in spain- Portugal ect on the longer rods.other than buying ultegra,s --penns ect is there any other reels good for thin braided lines on clean beaches

    You will find most use thin mono on the continental rods and the top lads use the top reels like the Daiwa Basia but way out of my price range

      as far as i,m aware they use very thin lines as far down as 6lb and use stepped lines getting thinner in stages. but they are fishing clean ground for small fish.

        Surfblasters and affinitys are more than capable for that type of fishing and a popular choice with many of the match lads on there conti set ups also spare spools are cheap
