just been talking to one of hubbys mates this very minute about Hagfish, he says they are disgusting creatures eat the fish from the inside out..yuk! he only mentioned the fact that he was plagued by them in his pots, said you find a nice big fish and all that\'s left is a load of skin and all those hagfish drop out...triple yuk !! god that\'s put me off making the tea.. lol.lol.lol

May the holes in your net be no larger than the fish in it.
Although I\'ve never caught one I know I had one on my line on Sunday and lost it on the way in. The trace was all knotted up and it was covered in that slime not nice at all Heather.

Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.
Had a hag fish on blyth pier on sat night made a lovely mess of my rig, had to bin the lot slime everywhere, nearly as much slime as tich had on his pants :P
had 3 of them on roker this morning, its unbelievable the amount of slime they can generate when still in the water, if you drop one little hagfish in a bucket of sea water whilst still tangled in your trace you end up with half a bucket of slime, and i\'m not exagerating one bit, give it a go ! haven\'t got a clue how they do it.
