  • yuki 100 to 250gr rod

anyone use these continental rods to the top casting weight ?ive just bought a multipla cast with the above casting weight,i intend using it with mostly a 4oz plus small bait and the odd time a 5oz plus bait.even with a 3oz plain lead on the field the tip is bending quite a bit,i wanted to give it a good overhead thump but was a bit put off with the bend in the tip--lol.im using .20 braid with a thicker braid leader.4 and 5oz leads are well inside the 250gr that the rod should cast.

As with most rods as long as you don't bring the lead at an acute angle inside the tip you should be fine. They are designed to bend!
