  • Bare bones spigot ?

I have a old Conoflex BB Bass it as seen some work to be fair, and the joint is starting to get loose. i dare not hit it hard now scared of spliting the top section on the joint, can i practicaly tighten the joint anyway or is it just not practical to bother.

you can cut 5mm at a time of the tip section of the rod that goes over the spigot this will tighten the joint you might have to rewhip the spigot or wrap some tape round to stop the thread from unwinding done this lots of times on rods or thier is graphite spray or even candle wax

you can get a carbon spray that builds the joint up slowly, it will need several coats on the spigot as the layers are so thin.

try rubbing it with a candle, very suprising how much this closes up the joint
