tie a knot in your line then tie another knot this time looping over the main line,as you tighten the line up the first knot slides down to the first ,once tight cut off the excess
2nd knot after looping it round the reel

    or use this one http://www.thaifishingguide.com/fishtechequip/techniques/sal****ertechniques/attach_line_reel.html

Your best balancing the spool as well /if you have serviced the reel you will see a huge improvement in casting and the general running of your multiplyer.

Alan f has posted a good post- but in laymens terms when you are putting the line on your reel in direct style from the spool_ie Spool of line in sinc with reel and not coming of spool in loops (put a screw driver through hole in spool-then load reel- if you can see the side plates or stickers on the line you are loading your doing it wrong) you wont have to worry about line memory going onto to your reel.which will give you at least one nest in the first few casts - Cheers Bri - H. Just read post and its about as informative as nowt whatsoever( Strongbow/stella in the same Frozen glass) post Weds Night how to balance unless one of you guys want to answer it . Cheers anyhow .
