amazing not sure if this has been asked but what bait do you use for these monsters.

wonder how long fish of this quality lasts up there hopefully forever all i would say get there now while the fish is there.

i can remember how good the scottish sea lochs were ie rhu narrows first time walking to the mark bob gledhills m8 harry guy i think that was his name just put a 17lb speckled cod on the beach . then the were holy loch/lock goil/loch long etc all but just memories now very few fish there now.
did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?

1/2 a fillet max is all that we used for these monsters, full report shouldnt be too long

Looks like you all had a trip of a lifetime, (red letter trip) i knew the boat fishing could produce monsters but i had my doubts about the shorefishing just shows how wrong you can be.
Looks like this post has just put Norway on the map for shore anglers.

                      Well done lads

I,m off to Iceland end of April and if its half as good as some of the fish you lot have caught then i will be pleased.
If people think you are an idiot, why speak and remove all doubt !

                        Holy Funk.
It's a thin line that seperates an Angler from a madman standing on the beach in january at midnight in -5 degrees with a northerly wind blowing in your face

wonder what would happen if you used your normal cod baits, but a bit bigger

normal cod baits were used mait,we tried blacks, yellows, mussel, cart, crab, clam but without doubt bluey was by far and away the best bait for the bigger fish, the other baits also took plenty of fish, but the haddock are onto the worm baits pretty fast, long before any codling get a look at them, the first part of the reports are up on our site now, there will be another part put on later tonight.

i am pretty sure when people look at these pics they will be thinking i would love to go there.

say iceland cause it is furthest away i no this will depend on a few factors but what would total cost be for a week in iceland sea fishing

                                also for norway
