Low Water Mark
Try 'The Sump' on Rocky Island - Seaton Sluice:
Turn right from the W'Bay to Blyth road and head towards the Kings Arms passing The Waterford Arms and The Club on your right.
Park outsde the Kings Arms' and walk across the wee bridge onto 'Rocky Island'.
A scramble down to the rock edges and a short walk to the left puts you at right angles to the beach.
A 45 degree cast will put you behind the breakers with a good chance of a fish or two.
Tight lines,
Drof

Originally posted by Charlton View Postif you have fished those marks today with that sea running you will no doubt not be posting on here again, but we will do a very nice obituary for you and lots of condolence messages.
As always, we should take the sea-state into consideration before venturing onto rock-edges or piers.
Simples!

try the pipe
give it a shot, 3 hours before high tide; 2hours after, but watch your back it can sneek upon you;you can fish off the end but its a bit snaggy,if you fish just on the bend cast towards the lighthouse thats Whitley Bay, not to far 50/60 yards up to 80 its onto sand, had some nice flatties and a few good cod 2lb sort of weight, of if around a few Scotchies on light gear ,usually September/ October are a good laugh, crap eating but nice fishcakes, mackeral from when ever they turn up May June ish BUT watch the tide low water at summer is ok, but watch the winter tide, its just below the High Point hotel on Whitley Bay sea front down onto the prom & work your way down over the rocks to the pipe or you can go down opposite a pub called 42nd st and walk along the pipe to the bend, pollock in the summer/sept on the float is fun again light gear at the end but again a little snaggy due to the weed,,,Tich
