  • The Talented Mr. Stringer

I've just read that Chris Stringer has just caught a five fish bag of codling from Blyth Beach in daylight, presumably because he can read the sea like a seagull!!..... The guy is something else. He could catch fish in a wishing well!

Please can someone who knows this incredible angler convince him to write a book about what he knows.... Or at least join NESA and do a weekly blog, or something.

Chris, if you're out there, your my hero!!! (sorry, got a bit excited there lol)
    PBs...Cod 8lb2oz.. Turbot 3lb2oz.. Whiting 1lb8oz.. Coalie 1lb9oz.. Flounder 1lb7oz.. Dab 15oz.. Plaice 13oz.. Bass 1lb 6oz

chris hasn't got the time to write a book, and is looking forward to his retirement so he can do a bit more fishing. It was the first time he had fished Blyth beach in daylight but after taking a big bag the night before he thought he would give it a go

If it had been overcast on sunday he would have prob beaten my weight in the open IMO. Depends on how coloured it was.

Alan, ask Mr Hooper about his massive double that lost weight, with fright, when it seen Barrys Scales. Only kidding, he had a few good fish yest as well.
