Wh\"ey Aye am sure you did - What ever it was i will commend you on your eyesight- not only peripheral vision- but round the world vision - to much white lightening- as they are territoriol and will stay in an area where feeding is good- lets say whiting,if it is slumming it- get your digital camera out and sit and wait for that SNAP that will get you in every paper north of Bilboa. But well done on seeing a \"4 ft Swordfish\"

http://indian-river.fl.us/fishing/fish/sword.html - nuff said in the \"Tropical waters\" and 400 - 500 fathoms , unless the pipe end or the back of the doors has gone to a depth unknown to man i would say its EITHER -

a dolphin going to a fancy dress party
or your on to much white lightening

Strongbow is a better class of Cider try that , But Hey i could be wrong ,after all Darwin was nearly exported cos he linked us to apes,so maybe the East Coast of ENGLAND is in for a Tropical fish explosion, Whats the NFSA sizes on Swordfish lads in case i get one on Monday night in wor Comp, i would hate to make a tw*t of myself by trying to weigh one in thats not size.

Not gonna crucify you for this mike cos I wasn\'t there. I have no doubts that there will be loads of things in our waters that \"shouldn\'t be there\". If anyone tries to weigh one in in the shore comp I am afraid it is not legal as I do not have the legal sizes to hand (at the moment) I am sure someone will know lol. Shore caught only.

                    Jim.

Its full we only take members on in the 1st 4 weeks of Sept then the book closes - and thats cos we are fishing for a heap of money over 26 wks - last years winner won not a kick in the arse off £1300 in all categories-(heaviest single fish/amount /specimen fish etc/fur and feather) but if the TAX man is reading this - it was £22-36p - :P :P

Hello Mike * notices shadow on radar* regarding the swordfish business. Apart from the recent report given to me by a lunatic on Blyth Pier of a Marlin being caught of Whitley Bay Beach. (see previous post) I witnessed a 3-4 ft silver fish, leaping all over the gaff whilst fishing off Shields Pier, It remined me of a Billfish breaking the surface (Oh those wonderful Cuban days ) I posted about it here and after a few posts it became clear that what I had really seen was an armless Dodo in a silver lyrca suit with a jet pack and snorkel.

Err or was it a SALMON.
