Heading up to Eyemouth again at the end of the month and was wondering if it was still a bit early to take my lure rod and chuck a few bits out?

Not too early for some fishing but dont forget your lures as Stevie says.
Different area but last year up at Port Logan we fished for hours with good bait without a nibble, chucked out a plain zenny and firetail and we got about 10 in a row if I remember rightly including a 4.5lb pollock and 3.5lb pollock.
Couldn’t believe it - so well worth taking a few lures.Best shore catch 2016 - 7.5lb cod, Seaton Carew!

Myself and a couple of mates have just came back this morning from an overnighter at Eyemouth. Yesterday the weather was fantastic and water clarity was great however the fishing was poor. Using all kind of baits and spinning best part of the day we only managed three small flatties a scorpion fish and small lobster. From now on we're going to leave it until June before heading up there as we've always had great sessions around then. You never know though you might fair better than us. Good luck.
