  • a little help with keeping fresh blacks

    alright folks ive got some fresh blacks on order from my local tackle shop 40 of them all together i was just wondering if it is possible to keep them alive and well in a bucket of sea water in the garden shed any advice would be really helpful cheers daz

    every one has there own way of keeping blacks
    I keep mine in a trays just covered in the fridge more trays the better
    the less blacks together the less u lose change the water regular
    and try not to touch them till use

      At this time of year you should get away with keeping them in cat litter trays on the floor of your shed. Warm periods (i know, whats one of them?) or sudden changes in weather can kill them though. Best bet is a bait fridge. Put enough water in the trays to just cover their backs, change the water daily at first and then every few days and they will keep for over a fortnight.
      To get away from dragons and catch monsters.
