Anyone know any spool cases for fixed spool spare spools, sick of putting them in socks 😄

I’ve seen them in the shops, NETS had them I’m sure but they were silly prices - £10 upwards, again from memory I think they were imax or breakaway. I can’t remember how much but I do remember thinking the price is absolutely not worth it...and I wouldnt have minded paying a few quid for one.

I’ve been using bubble-wrap for mine which does the job and makes it easy to see which spool you want out ….if you’re like me and carry multiple spare ones.

Second-hand camera shops - they usually have a bin full of old lens cases & pouches for various accessories that you can pick up for a quid or two. Only place I know of in the NE is Classic Cameras in Old Eldon Square; I haven't been in for a while but I'm sure Paul had a whole pile the last time I was in. You shouldn't have any bother finding something to fit, I use a load of my old ones since selling most of my camera gear - all sorts of uses!

Try an empty pringles tube wrapped with gaffa tape to keep it dry.

Got my fixed spool spare spools in a fox royale spool tube. Google the carp websites.

Chucking spools in socks will result in dinted spools, happens easily on the ultegras
