well guys i was thinking of wetting a line on monday night weather permitting went to have a look at my favourite shot down at hartlepool to find that i wont be goin there at all take a look at the pics and if anyone dose go out please be carful and take extra care
sorry i couldnt get any closer for some better shots but it was blowing a gale and absolutly massive as you can see it wasnt even high water at the time and i wasnt brave enough to get closer
lol i know ive seen it a lot worse than that jim but thats still bad enough and the pier is getting weaker every time we get a big sea just aswell it wasnt high water i dont think id of been stood near the sea wall lol
It was very rough, after we had been there for a while we were standing on the top level looking north. My mate's son was with us and the breakers were coming along the top and spraying us with surf. Every time a wave came along we just pulled up our hoods and turned away. The wave I'm talking about came along to where we were and instead of pulling his hood up he ducked below the wall, just as it got to us it fell over the wall straight on top of his head. Not enough to cause any problems but just enough to soak him His dad just shook his head and never said a word, we were all in tears lol. That would be about 28 years ago

that would of been when it was a bit safer to fish you had the steel rope right along the pier but its all gone now i wouldnt even dream of going on now its far too dangerous i remember about 3 yr ago me and the old man where fishing on the top right at the end on the corner had just baited up and my dad said "get ya hood up son"no sooner he said it i stood up got hold of my hood and had a wall of water right down the back of my suite soaking me right to the bone so we walked off and went onto the steetly instead lol but the old man wanted me home to dry out or at least get changed but i was made of tougher stuff then lol
