I bought a RT Axellerator after reading rave reviews, I hadn't done a lot of shore fishing so when I kept getting birds nests I blamed the reel, after trying Abu's, Penn 535, Slosh 30 then Penn 525 Mags I came to the conclusion it was because the rod was so unforgiving.
Proabably a great rod in the right hands and good value for money but not for me.Cheers, Keith.

i know not everyone likes fishing with the reel down the butt, i do, but when u have a pokey rod this makes them more docile and adds yards without even trying, but like i say it's not everyone's cup of tea.
give it try and if you don't like it change back, simple

cheers for the advice lads. its much appreciated as its quite new to me and was in a bit of a pickle what to do. iv opted for the orion in the end after summing up the advice. i only really fish light ground anyways and my casting neets a bit work so think il work my way up 2 a stiffer rod after a bit practice. that and the fact that my pal knocked the price of the orion down 2 60 quid. cudnt sayt no. but thanx alot and sum crackin pics there peter. nice 1
